My first book signingEdit
I dug out an old photo from my first book signing, back in 2010. This was an anthology of stories about the county of Northamptonshire in England entitled 'Shoes, Ships & Cadavers'. The introduction came from Alan Moore . I happened to sit next to him at the signing table, watching in awe as this huge queue of fans waited for him to sign no end of things (actually no one asked Alan to sign any body parts, which was a relief). The fans had the grace to ask the authors in the anthology to sign their copies of the book too, so I almost felt like a proper author. The story was nominated for the BSFA best short fiction award. Which possibly sounds impressive, but so too were scores of stories. My story ('I Won the Earth Evacuation Lottery') wasn't set in the Human Legion universe, but some of the details of the alien race involved show suspiciously similar evolution to the Jotuns .
